Coach Challenge Cards

Image
The PDF is available to download for free from this link. Much of our work and resources is aimed at our players. But how often do we challenge ourselves as coaches? Below, we have some coach challenge cards for you to try. It will limit and condition you in ways that we do to our players. Some will be much easier than others, but all are designed with the idea of challenging us in some areas that perhaps we didn't even realise we need to work on. Do you talk to much? Do your explanations lack detail? Much of the learning will take place before the session, in the planning phase. "I can only talk for twenty seconds, so what am I going to say, and how am I going to say it?" Time after the session will allow for much reflection, seeing what did and didn't work, and how you may incorporate what you have learned about yourself and your coaching going forward. Not all of the coach challenges are useful. Some are meant to restrict in ways which are unhelpful, with the idea

Image
Can be purchased for £5 by clicking here . This PDF contains 47 different rondos with their different variations. Each slide contains an explanation and coaching points to aid the illustrations. How can you make them more enjoyable? Hopefully you'll find this PDF useful, and will become a strong advocate for rondos and possession games.

Game Model

Image
This can be purchased for £10 by clicking here . This is my own personal game model, not one that I have made for Azteca Football. I made it during the first lockdown of 2020, and it took several months to put all these ideas down and to animate them. I wanted a really clear idea of how to play football with my 11v11 teams, going from philosophy, to methodology, to tactics. I tried to think of everything I would ever think of, and put it all down in a framework. I'm no expert. You might learn a couple things from this PDF, but you are more likely to begin thinking about your own game model and how you would organise your 11v11 team. Please, use my ideas to develop and articulate your own. I read a lot of books and other resources in order to develop my own. What I have done and why is guided by my values, including how I wish to make my players feel, and how I would like us to play in the different scenarios outlined. It's your values that will guide you. For those who don'

Club Curriculum

Can be purchased for £10 by clicking here . Check out of club curriculum PDF, which is available for £10. Let's take a look inside to see what you get. The PDF starts off with some theory and methodology. It's important for the coaches within a club to be on the same page when it comes to club values, and the delivery of a session. We have presented it in easy to understand terms for the reader, and provided vivid visuals. The first section on exercises is fun games for young players. Applicable to kids of many ages, really, but especially good for beginners. Each session diagram is accompanied by an explanation of how it works, and even better, there is an "ask me" section below to help with leading questions in the debriefs. The fun games for young players is then followed by 5v5, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11 sections, with different topics at each one. The progressions from one age group to the next will build upon the foundations laid by the age group below, aiding the tra
